    This is a post about tactics to use a long with your basic city wall defences and troops. Note troops will only defend your city if you open your gate to let them out to fight.(tick box in rally spot)
    First when your bird starts to flash this means you are under attack so check your reports under enemy. Depending on your tower level this will give you details about the attack. Do not worry if you get a list of all troops but no quantities this means your tower can't say what is being sent. Generally however you do get the time for attack to hit.
    Use this time to protect your resources from plunder (see forum topics for a guide to this) Your gate should be closed only open it if you are SURE you can defeat or seriously damage your attacker. Check for wounded after attack especailly if all your troops are wiped out.
    You should check your reports after first attack under army here you will find your coords and your attackers listed. Give their coords to your alliance so we can counter attack if possible.
    Be prepared for more attacks and use comfort 'disaster relief' to bring down grievances and restore loyalty.Use a 'speach text' item if you really must to restore order. If they spam attack you in waves then do not rebuild your wall defences untill you can do so in quantity. Building just a few traps or archer towers will do you no good and just waste your resources instead build troops (keep your gate shut at this time) If you can counter attack, as their troops will be attacking your city and unable to help defend theirs. (Scout first to check though)
    Use a 'Truce Agreement' item if things get difficult this will give you 12hrs of peace to restore wall defences and order. NB. You cannot use another for 12hrs and will be unable to attack to plunder for resources. Ask your alliance for help if you need resources.
    Last ditch defence is to teleport (or abandon your city see Dirty Tricks) If your lucky your attacker will run into a the high lvl flat you leave behind. (if it is high level) NB this tactic is not really needed if you have just one city as it cannot be taken and there are ways to bring it back from even the worst disaster. (its basically indestructable)
