First off I wish I had know about the switching of heros during research :S

When deciding to either persuade or recruit a hero what is the importance of the heros' lvl (other than costs more gold and is usually not very loyal)? I don't seem to be having trouble conquering with my low lvl heros but am sending a qwap of troops (3/1 and 4/1)

Many of my heros have same or or close to same P/A/I. Is it good to have your attack hero with a high lvl intel too for attemping to get medals or other valuables

I also had heard that there was some kind of formula in helping one decide whether to persuade/recruit?

I think my entire heros list is in need of revamping but would like more info before I stick my fingers on it.

Any thoughts would be appreciated

a good general hero- ATT+INT+POL-LVL=120 or more
however a general hero is not much good after you can have a few. then you should specialize
a specialized hero will have the score you want-lvl=55 or more

the "^" symbol means do this in succesion for each lvl that you have
the hero LORD MARGATH is lvlv5, 80ATT, 40POL, 50INT

Politics

As a Mayor:

* Politics will give you 1% increased production for each point of politics

* Politics reduces Construction times as well (Base time x 0.995 ^ Politics) x 0.9 ^ Construction level
EXAMPLE LORD MARGATH would multiply the base construction time by 0.995 40 times
Attack

As a Mayor:

* Attack reduces troop recruitment time. Time after research improvements x 0.995 ^ Attack

* Attack will increase your defending troops' success in battle.

As an attacking hero:

* Attack increases your Success in attacking others.

Intelligence

As a Mayor:

* Intelligence lowers the time it takes you to research something in the Academy. Base time x 0.995 ^ Intelligence

* Intelligence makes it harder for your enemy to scout you.

As an attacking hero:

* Intelligence increases your ability to scout others

What to do with a hero you capture? Generally the answer is let them go. They are an expensive way to get a hero, not worth the bother. Better to just keep checking your Inn and upgrade the heroes you have already. Unless they have VERY good stats. Some high lvl captives have requirements that need to be met as well as the usual bribery with gold/medals needed to raise loyalty.

this works on some servers, not tested onall yet
Tried and tested
1) person recieving hero caps a valley next to city with hero you want to swap
2) reciever recalls hero and troops from flat and reinforce with 1 cataphrat
3) giver of hero reinforces the same valley with swap hero+1cav (heros loy must be 1or0)
4) any player drops from alliance
5) giver of hero then attacks valley with a scout and a crap hero, attacker will lose the battle
6) hero may be captured so keep hiting with scouts
7) recall and use at your leasure
