Cooks and Doctors

Anybody have Doctors??

Why?

Doctors are 20 gold per hour. They dont even fight. If you have 100 doctors that will cost you 48 THOUSAND gold a day.

For that price you can have 500 Swords that fight every round.

100 Doctors will not save 500 swords. Doctors only HEAL if the units LIVE. And they only heal if they have been HIT. 90% of units that get hit die. So those few that survive being hit "may" get healed. But they still have a 90% chance of dieing if they fight/get hit again.

Its been discussed many many times on the board... and the conclusion is that it is much cheaper to just build the fighting units and dont bother with doctors. Swords cost 60 resources each and doctors cost 500. So that means for what it costs in resources to buils 100 Docs...you can build 833 swords.

Trust me..doctors are a waste. Ship them to the towns that you need extra citizens in and dismiss them. Save the gold.

WHY?

Cooks are the most important units in the game, but do you know why?

If you go into a battle bringing 100 units and no cooks...even if they dont fight they will scatter in a few rounds. If you bring 10,000 units into a battle and they dont even fight...they will scatter in a few rounds.

Now..if you send 10 cooks into the battle with them, they will last just a few more rounds and then still scatter. Without even fighting.

The number is 30 COOKS!!! If you send 30 cooks into a battle, your units will never scatter from loss of morale. Never.

What if you send 60 cooks? Well..you are wasting 300 gold per hour or 7200 a day. They are doing nothing. Cooks dont die and 30 is all you ever need in one battle.

Now how many different battles do you plan on being in at the same time? 2? 3? 4? Well then you need 30 cooks for each battle. If you are the type of person that likes to build a giant army and hit people all over at the same time..then maybe you need 120 or 150 cooks. That way you can fight in 5 different places at one time.

If you are the type of person that likes to/or only has time to send your units to one battle at a time..then all you need is 30...or 60 at most, just in case you need to split them up for some reason. But you dont need 150. You DONT need 500. For every extra 100 cooks you have you are wasting 24 THOUSAND gold a day.

Bottom line, if you have an army, you MUST have 30 cooks. If you have 3 armies, you MUST have 90 cooks. They dont die, so dismiss the rest.




PS: I didnt even bother to talk about transport space.. For every 100 doctors, you could bring 333 swords instead.
For every 100 cooks you could bring 666 swords instead.
