Beginners Defense

DEFENSE:
This is what will make/break your success.


#1 Defense: Hideouts!
Most people won’t pillage what they can’t see. I’m more prone to attack someone with a 5K military in which I’ll KNOW what I’m going to fight against, and what goods I’ll win rather than a 5K military I know nothing about. I can’t stress this one more especially if you don’t plan to build a large army.


#2 Defense : Military
Have a good military configuration!
Make sure you have an army to defend your resources. Below is a good place to start
Swords: 90
Spearman: 100
Slingers: 60
Once you are a bit bigger you can add Hoplites and Archers and drop your Slingers and Spearman. Then continue your progression as you research.
If you need help with goods, we’re all here to trade with. Remember…..the bigger your population, the more units you can afford to hire!

ALWAYS HAVE ATLEAST ONE SHIP!!!


#3 Defense: Wall
Build your Town Walls up as high as possible! I believe once you get them to 9, they start costing a bit more. However, taking them up past level 21 is a HUGE help against small time attacks
